Racing! This topic was for Illustration Friday - I've never tried to illustrate the story of the Tortus and the Hare . I am also loving the fall colors lately and they are falling on the ground - making things beautiful! I'm not sure if I'm quite done - so I'd love to get some critiques.
nicely done Calista; I'm liking it, maybe you could slightly darken the turtle back leg to drop it back, it appears to be glazed and that helps but it could use a little more shadow I think,a very minor thing though, love the angles and point of view.

ReplyDeleteReally great composition and technique. If you want a critique the only one I have is the angle the rabbit running; it should be more 3/4's view like the turtle. As a whole everything else is done really well.
